Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds and Ashley HomeStore are set to host the third annual “Hope to Dream” event at First Tennessee Park on Monday, August 20th, 2018.

The annual “Hope to Dream” event is designed to give 50 children from the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee their own bed. 25 of the 50 children will come to First Tennessee Park with no knowledge they are about to receive their very own bed set, complete with a twin mattress set, pillow, sheets and comforter.

“Each year, the Hope to Dream event is one of my favorite events the Nashville Sounds organization puts on,” said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse. “The genuine surprise and happiness the children experience is not possible without the help from Ashley HomeStore.”

Children and parents are scheduled to arrive at First Tennessee Park beginning at 5:00pm. For the first hour, they will head to The Band Box to play games and have dinner provided by Hunt Brothers Pizza.

At 6:00, a tour of First Tennessee Park will begin. The children will be surprised by Sounds players in the clubhouse before heading to the field to run the bases. At 7:00, the children and parents, players, Sounds staff and Ashley HomeStore representatives will proceed to the Brauer Club Lounge for a surprise “press conference.”

Nuse and Joey Guyton, Dufresne Spencer Director of Retail, will welcome the families with a surprise presentation of 25 new bed sets carefully setup behind a curtain.

“Hope to Dream” is an Ashley HomeStore initiative designed to provide children in the community who do not have a bed to call their own – their very own bed. This is a ticketed event only. Those interested in consideration can submit an application for the program at www.ashleyfurniturehomestore.com/hopetodream. Over the last seven years, Ashley HomeStore has provided over 60,000 bed sets to children.

Media personnel are welcome to attend the event beginning at 5:30pm. Nuse, Guyton and Sounds players in attendance will be available for interviews after the beds are presented around 7:15 p.m.

The 2018 season is the Sounds’ 41st in franchise history and fourth as the Oakland Athletics’ top affiliate. Single-game tickets are available now by calling 615.690.4487 or by visiting www.nashvillesounds.com
