Montgomery County Voters Urged to Dedicate Their Vote with Honor Vote

Tennessee State Representative - District 67Nashville, TN – Tennesseans from Montgomery County will head to the polls on November 6th, 2018 with an updated way to proudly honor someone who is serving or has served our country.

The Honor Vote program allows registered Tennessee voters to dedicate their vote to a U.S. veteran or active duty military member, both online and with a commemorative button, to thank them for protecting our country.

Once enrolled, dedications are posted on the official Honor Vote List as well as the Honor Vote Twitter account @tnhonorvote. Voters can also share their dedication on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using #GoVoteTN.

The Govs (6-2-1, 1-0-1 OVC) started out on the front foot, with Amber Bateman having a shot saved in the 9th minute.

The meeting is held at the Bone and Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare.  This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.

Retired Brigadier General Scott Brower named Austin Peay State University inaugural military adviser in residence

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On September 1st, 2018 retired Brigadier General Scott E. Brower, former deputy commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division, joined Austin Peay State University’s (APSU) senior leadership team as the institution’s first military adviser in residence.

In this new role, Brower will advise the APSU leadership team on how the University can better serve its military students and help the University optimize the process of recruiting, enrolling and graduating military-connected students.

Civil Air Patrol Kentucky Wing has record visitors at the Statewide Open House

Civil Air PatrolClarksville, TN – Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Kentucky Wing just finished its first statewide Open House event. It was the largest recruitment event for Civil Air Patrol in Kentucky and the Great Lakes Region. Great Lakes Region is made up of 6 states, over 200 squadrons, and more than 6,000 members.

There were fourteen squadrons that participated in the 11-day event. It was a huge success with over 270 guests in attendance.
