Montgomery County Government
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is excited to announce their new community phone app. The new app, called MoCo Info, can now be easily downloaded to smartphones.
The app has two primary areas to choose from: Community and Sheriff’s Office. In the Community section users can click on info for county departments, court docket, social media, traffic awareness, historic trails, news, and employment.

The Sheriff’s Office section offers info on sex offenders, most wanted, mugshots, 911 call log, submit a tip, jail information, press releases, community involvement, social media, community feedback etc.
There is a lot of info packed in the MoCo Info app.
“When the Sheriff and Chief Smith initially presented purchasing the app I was hesitant because we had an existing app created internally called MC Notify but when our IT Director showed us what the MoCo Info app was capable of, how user friendly it is, that we could combine county government on the same app with our MCSO and he shared the fact that it would take more time and money internally to come up with something comparable, it was a no-brainer. This app allows the community to connect with us in a new and better way. I’m really proud to share this app and glad Sheriff Fuson pushed for it,” said Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett.
Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson stated, “When we saw the promo to this app, we knew it would be an awesome tool for our office and the community to connect. We saw the data about the increased usage and connections other law enforcement offices were having with this type of app and were thrilled the Mayor and the budget committee got behind it.”
“As the use and ease of technology increases with smartphones, apps have increasingly become the chosen way for people to connect with organizations. Apps offer more personalization, ease of use, the ability to work offline, apps often work faster than websites, the data shows users spend progressively more time on apps and they offer a faster way to connect with people. “We need to be relevant and offering this app is just one way to do that,” said Durrett.
Anyone using the MCGTN Notify should delete the now inactive app and download the free MoCo Info app for a convenient way to connect with Montgomery County Government and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
