APSU Volleyball gets four set win at SIU Edwardsville

 

APSU Women's VolleyballEdwardsville, IL – Austin Peay State University (APSU) volleyball junior Chloe Stitt came off the bench to record 14 kills in the final two sets, leading  team to a Ohio Valley Conference-opening four-set win (25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18) against SIU Edwardsville, Friday night at the Vadalabene Center.

Marsha Blackburn Joins The Atlantic’s “Women of Washington” Event

 

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), the first female Senator from Tennessee, joined The Atlantic’s ‘Women of Washington’ event on Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 for a conversation about encouraging conservative women to run for office, the 100th anniversary of the women’s right to vote, the security women want for their families, and more.

Clarksville Police arrest Cyle Andrew for Criminal Simulation, Forgery

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 23rd, 2019, Clarksville Police report Cyle Andrew attempted to obtain food with a counterfeit twenty (20) dollar bill and a counterfeit ten (10) dollar bill at a drive-thru at a local fast food restaurant. An employee noted the vehicle description and tag number of the vehicle.

CPD Officer Skidmore was able to identify Andrew from the restaurant’s surveillance video and the vehicle tag came back registered to Andrew.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigating Medicine Shoppe Burglary

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating suspect(s) responsible for a burglary at a local pharmacy.

The burglary occurred at the Medicine Shoppe on Highway 48 sometime between 6:00pm on September 25th, 2019 and 6:00am on September 26th, 2019.

Forced entry was made through the front door. Prescription medication, including narcotics, and property were taken.

Clarksville Police arrest Ramon Gholston for Outstanding Warrants

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 26th, 2019, around 1:00pm, Clarksville Police Department’s agents and detectives stopped a vehicle at 502 Providence Boulevard. One of the men inside of the vehicle, Ramon Gholston, was known to have outstanding warrants.

During the arrest, there was a black bag found with suspected heroin, a 38 special handgun, and some other drugs located where Gholston was sitting.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – This week the Tennessee Titans (1-2) play their third road game in the first four weeks of the season, traveling to face the Atlanta Falcons (1-2). Kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (capacity 71,000) is scheduled for 1:00pm EDT/Noon CDT on Sunday, September 29th.

The Titans will make their first appearance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opened in 2017. The last time they went to Atlanta in the regular season was November 20th, 2011, when the Falcons won by a final score of 23-17 at the Georgia Dome. In 14 all-time games between the two clubs, the series is tied 7-7.

Clarksville Police request public help Identifying Integrity Auto Sales Burglary Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 22nd, 2019 between 3:40am and 4:30am the Integrity Auto Sales located at 1719 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard had eight of its vehicles broken into.

A review of the surveillance video shows a suspect vehicle drive around the back of Jimmy Johns at 3:40am and turn its lights out. 10 minutes later a suspect appears at the back of the car lot on foot and works his way forward to the older model Chevy Caprice.
