New York, NY – Austin Peay State University (APSU) redshirt senior Tahmar Upshaw finished second in the 1500M at the 2026 Toyota USATF Para National Championships, Saturday, at Ichan Stadium.
Upshaw raced a 3:52.75 in New York, the second-fastest mark of his career and just six hundredths of a second off his career-best from the LA Grand Prix, June 13th, which also is the T46 Americas record.
After sitting in third at the 1200M split, Upshaw made up one spot across the final 300 meters, to surpass second place and beat the opponent by 1.13 seconds.
