Roxy Regional Theatre announces opening of “The Fantasticks” postponed Due to Illness

 

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre reports that this Friday’s 8:00pm opening of “The Fantasticks” has been postponed until next week, due to illness. Our lead actress has tested positive for the flu, and the extra time needed for her rest and recovery has made it impossible for the Roxy to hold rehearsals. (At this time, “Martini Night” is still scheduled to go on as planned.)

Ticket holders are being contacted by the Roxy Regional Theatre regarding exchanges or refunds.

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – Anyone wishing to treat their special someone to an unforgettable evening this upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend need look no further than the Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre.

Opening Valentine’s night and running through the end of the month, the timeless romantic musical comedy “The Fantasticks” will enchant audiences at the Roxy Regional Theatre beginning at 8:00pm on Friday, February 14th. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – “Ah, what fools these mortals be!” An annual tradition at the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville takes a twist this fall with the Roxy Regional Theatre’s production of A Midsumer Night’s Dream: The Musical, opening Friday, November 3rd, at 8:00pm.

In keeping with the theatre’s opening night pay-what-you-can tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Now the Roxy Regional Theatre is bringing to life the inspirational true story of a young girl swept up in the turmoil of the Holocaust in “The Diary of Anne Frank”, opening Friday, February 17th, at 8:00pm.

During the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, Anne Frank began to keep a diary on June 14th, 1942, two days after her thirteenth birthday and twenty-two days before going into hiding with her mother, father, sister and four others.

Cumberland Arts Centre’s “One Christmas Night” to feature Veteran Actors, December 11th-19th

 

Cumberland Arts Centre Dinner Theatre - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Audiences attending the Cumberland Arts Centre’s Dinner Theatre production of “One Christmas Night,” will be treated to the talents of several veteran actors from the community. Heading the cast is Benny Jones, who is well known in local theaters, having just completed his run in “Smoke” and “Spirit” in Adams, TN this fall.

Jones is also known for his numerous roles at the Roxy Regional Theatre as well as the Cumberland Arts Centre. Jones has also worked at the Barn Dinner Theatre in Nashville and played the title role in “Hamlet” in Monterey, CA.
