Clair Gill, deputy commanding general for support, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, will lead the discussion. Additional division and garrison leaders and medical experts will contribute. Representatives will join from the Department of Defense Education Activity, along with representatives from local school systems.

The SRU, is part of the Army Recovery Care Program, which oversees the evaluation and treatment of wounded, ill and injured Soldiers requiring six months or more of rehabilitative care and complex medical-case management. “We transitioned from the WTB to the Soldier Recovery Unit. So the name changes but the mission remains the same and our command team remains the same. Lt. Col. Holt and Command Sergeant Major Rivera are going to continue to lead this organization through taking care of our Soldiers, making sure that they get the services they need,” said Brig. Gen. 18 Austin Peay State University ROTC Students ‘Virtually’ Commissioned as Army officers
The students received their commissions at their homes on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 while their ROTC officers – to keep with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines – conducted the commissioning ceremony in a small, socially distanced group in the front lobby of the Memorial Health Building on campus.

101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell Celebrate U.S. Army’s 244th Birthday
The theme for the Army’s birthday this year was “America’s Army: Honoring the Call to Service from D-Day to Today.” The theme was very fitting for the “Screaming Eagle” division, as 85 Soldiers just returned from 10 days in Carentan, Normandy, France. ![]() Col.
