Clarksville High School WildcatsKenwood High SchoolClarksville, TN – The fall break was done, the temperature dropped and the Friday night lights were back on for District 10-AAA football as the Clarksville High Wildcats (3-6, 3-3 10-AAA) traveled across town to play the Kenwood Knights (4-5, 3-3 10-AAA).

If there was a spotlight among the lights, it would have shined on the Wildcats defense who created six Knights turnovers to give the Wildcats a 14-12 victory.

Clarksville High School WildcatsWest Creek High School Coyotes - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – After a defensive pass interference penalty, the Clarksville High Wildcats offense was facing 1st and 10, fifteen yards from the end zone, behind the West Creek Coyotes 28-27, with only 7 seconds left in the game.

Lined up in a spread offense, Wildcat senior quarterback Jeff Webb had to scramble away from immediate pressure due to a blitz up the middle by the Coyote’s defense.

Webb ran to his left, barely eluding the blitzing Coyote’s defenders. Still scrambling to his left, Webb sees a lane to the pylon in the corner of the end zone and takes of sprinting. As the clock ticks of the final seconds 3..2…1, Webb dashes just inside the pylon a step ahead of pursuing Coyote players and scores the game winning touchdown.
