Dr. Kristofer Ray, assistant professor of history, spoke at the Civil War Sesquicentennial Program of the Metropolitan Historical Commission on April 9th in Nashville. He explained how the leaders in both the North and South reinterpreted the precepts of America’s founding fathers to suit their own political, social and economic purposes.
