Dense Fog expected across Clarksville-Montgomery County this morning

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that patchy dense fog is expected to form this morning across Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee. The fog will occur mainly near bodies of water and other mid state low lying fog prone development locations.

In locations experiencing dense fog, visibilities will be less than one quarter of a mile. Slow down, be sure to use your low-beam headlights, and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.

This fog should begin to burn off by 8:00am CT.

Clarksville-Montgomery County is under Flash Flood Watch until late this evening

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as a portion of Middle Tennessee.

At 1:18pm CT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles southeast of Clarksville to 10 miles north of Dickson. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory for Friday afternoon for Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee.

Dangerously Hot and Humid Conditions are expected across the area.

The combination of heat and high humidity will push heat indicies above 105 tomorrow afternoon for areas west of the Cumberland Plateau.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a Wind Advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee, which is in effect from 9:00am this morning, Monday, December 31st, 2018 until 6:00pm CT this evening.

South winds will increase this morning as a strengthening low pressure system moves out of Arkansas into the Great Lakes region. Winds will decrease this evening behind a cold front that will quickly sweep across Middle Tennessee.

Sustained winds of 15-25 mph with gusts over 40 mph can be expected today in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Clarksville-Montgomery County area as well as Northern Middle Tennessee.

A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for locations around and north of the I-40 corridor tonight. Snowfall accumulations tonight of one up to two inches across northwest portions of mid state region will be possible. Ice accumulations generally less than a tenth of an inch across the advisory area will be possible tonight.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reports TBI Top Ten Most Wanted fugitive Dylan Ferguson in custody

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – One day after escaping from jail in Macon County and being added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ list, Dylan Cecil Ferguson surrendered Thursday morning to law enforcement in Trousdale County.

Ferguson (DOB 11-16-96) was wanted by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and the TBI, after escaping from the county’s jail Wednesday, along with two other individuals: Jeffrey Strong and Matt White.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County that is in effect today, Monday, June 5th, 2017 until 4:00pm this afternoon.

Moderate to heavy showers continue to develop across Middle Tennessee. Most showers are moving quicker than overnight, but some training could occur over areas that have already received 3-5 inches of rain in the last 24 hours.

While some breaks could be possible over the next few hours, some showers will be capable of quick rain amounts of 1-2 inches over already saturated soils.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrests Hartsville Man accused of Targeting Neighbor for Assault

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agents have arrested and charged a Hartsville man accused of trying to hire someone to harm his neighbor.

At the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents began investigating Kent Howard Smith on January 21st. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that Smith made several attempts to hire a third party to cause serious bodily harm to his neighbor.

Tennessee receives $7.9 million FCC Telehealth Grant to expand Health Care Services to Rural and Underserved Patients

 

Tennessee CoverKidsNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam announced that Tennessee will receive a $7.9 million grant from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to expand the Tennessee Telehealth Network (TTN) to an additional 400 facilities and make health care services more readily available to Tennesseans in rural and underserved communities.

TTN is a program of the non-profit Community Health Network (CHN), whose 62 clinics and the Tennessee Primary Care Association make telehealth technology accessible to rural Tennessee health care providers.
