UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols (16-8, 5-6, SEC), hits the road to take on RV/RV Missouri (19-7, 8-4 SEC) on Sunday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Tip-off is slated for 4:02pm CT (5:02pm ET) in a contest that is being carried by ESPN2.
 
Including this match-up, the Lady Vols have five contests remaining during the regular season. Two are at home (South Carolina, Vanderbilt) and three are away (Missouri, Texas A&M, Ole Miss). UT is in the midst of a five-game stint where it plays four of those contests on the road. The final game of that set comes next Thursday when UT is at Texas A&M.

Tennessee Lady Vols get 73-62 win over Auburn

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Freshman guard Zaay Green logged 19 of her career-high 25 points in the second half, powering Tennessee past Auburn, 73-62, at Thompson-Boling Arena on Thursday night.

The triumph gave UT a season sweep of the Tigers (18-7, 6-6 SEC). The Big Orange (16-8, 5-6 SEC) had won at AU in the SEC opener back on January 3rd, 78-69.
 
The Lady Vols recorded their third-straight home win, as the duo of senior Cheridene Green (16 points and 11 rebounds) and sophomore Rennia Davis (15 points and 10 rebounds) each tallied double-doubles on the evening. Sophomore Evina Westbrook, meanwhile, dished out 10 assists and added nine points and five rebounds in the victory.

The Lady Vols, who closed out a four-game home stand with an 84-76 victory over Belmont on Sunday afternoon, are 2-0 in true road games and 4-0 away from Knoxville this season, including a pair of neutral site victories. Tennessee won at Oklahoma State and No. 12/12 Texas and defeated Clemson and UAB at the Junkanoo Jam in Bimini, Bahamas, earlier this season.

Tennessee Lady Vols beats Auburn with last second Three-Point Shot at SEC Tournament

UT Lady VolsNashville, TN Rennia Davis knocked down a three-point shot with .5 seconds remaining to give No. 12 Tennessee a 64-61 victory over Auburn Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena and advance the Lady Vols to the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.

Jaime Nared led UT in scoring with 17. Mercedes Russell had 12 points and 15 rebounds to record her 45th career double-double, tying Candace Parker for the second most career double-doubles in Tennessee history behind only Chamique Holdsclaw. She went 10-of-10 from the free throw line, setting a new career high in free throws made.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 12/12-ranked Tennessee (23-6, 11-5 SEC) opens play in the 2018 SEC Tournament at 6:00pm Central time (7:00pm ET) Thursday, facing off against Auburn (14-14, 5-11 SEC) at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.
 
The Lady Vols, who tied for fourth in the SEC regular-season standings, fell to a No. 7 seed by virtue of a tiebreaker with No. 4 LSU, No. 5 A&M and No. 6 Missouri. Auburn finished 10th in the standings and earned the No. 10 seed.
 
UT and AU are meeting for the second time this season. Tennessee defeated the Tigers, 70-59, in Knoxville on January 4th in the teams’ second league contest.

#7 Tennessee Lady Vols get 70-59 win over Auburn Thursday night

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Senior Jaime Nared recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 7/7 Tennessee to a 70-59 victory over Auburn (10-4, 1-1 SEC) on Thursday night at Thompson-Boling Arena. The win snapped a seven-game win streak for the Tigers and moved Tennessee to 14-0 for only the fifth time in school history.
 
Freshman Evina Westbrook chipped in a career-high 18 points and a game-high six assists, while senior Mercedes Russell added 10 points and four blocks on the night for Tennessee as the Lady Vols improved to 8-0 at home this season.
 
Daisa Alexander paced Auburn in scoring with 16 points, while Tiffany Lewis and Janiah McKay each added 10.

The last time the Lady Vols appeared in a game on The Summitt, Holly Warlick‘s squad upended #2/4 Texas, 82-75, on December 10th.

UT has gone 3-0 in road games since that victory over the Longhorns, taking care of Long Beach State (90-61) on December 17th, #18/24 Stanford (83-71) on December 21st and Kentucky (63-49) on December 31st.

Tennessee Lady Vols fall at Auburn Tigers, 79-61

UT Lady VolsAuburn, AL Mercedes Russell scored a career-high 26 points and logged her 11th double-double of the season as Tennessee fell to Auburn, 79-61, on Thursday at Auburn Arena.

Tennessee (11-7, 2-3 SEC) committed 22 turnovers in the loss. Auburn (14-5, 4-1 SEC) scored 33 points off turnovers and surged in the second and third quarters to take control of the game.

Russell was 11-of-14 from the floor and collected 11 rebounds. Diamond DeShields was close to pulling off a triple-double, finishing with 17 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Jaime Nared added 12 points.
