Clarksville High School WildcatsServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – For the third straight year Clarksville High School and Franklin High School have met in the state-playoff sectional round – with each coming away with a 2-1 victory over the other.

Well no such nailbiter — or heartbreak — this year for the Lady Wildcats, as CHS scored three first-half goals, October 25th at Hilda J. Richardson Athletic Field, on their way to a 4-1 victory over the Lady Rebels and punching their ticket to the TSSAA Class AAA State Tournament.

Lady Govs Volleyball drops second straight home match with loss to Eastern Illinois

 

Austin Peay Lady Govs LogoClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team dropped its second straight Ohio Valley conference match at the Dunn Center, Oct. 26th, as the Eastern Illinois State University Panthers defeated the Lady Govs 3-1, by scores of 25-20, 25-27, 25-22, 25-19.

Clarksville High School Soccer wins Region 5-AAA title with historic win over Hendersonville

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsHendersonville, TN – For years good girls high school soccer teams from Clarksville had all suffered the same fate when traveling to Hendersonville High School to play the Commandos on their home field – a loss.

Well that all ended October 23rd in the final of the Region 5-AAA tournament, as the Clarksville High School Lady Wildcats thumped Hendersonville 8-2 to win its second consecutive region title.

Instant “Peay” Play: Austin Peay State University’s Homecoming Week more than just a Football Game

 

Legends Bank, Clarksville TNClarksville, TN – If you have a chance to go by Austin Peay State University this week don’t be surprised if you see a little more red and white around the campus, or anywhere else in town for that matter, with the Governors celebrating Homecoming Week.

The theme for the 69th Homecoming Week for Austin Peay is ‘Blast from the Past’, with numerous events planned for both current and former students over the next six days leading up to the 4:00pm, October 26th football game versus Tennessee Martin at Governors Stadium.
