APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Legendary Austin Peay State University soccer player Tatiana Ariza enjoyed an illustrious four-year career in Clarksville and is continuing that success on the biggest stages of women’s club soccer.

Ariza, a forward for the Govs from 2010-2013, was named first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference all four years in her career and was named OVC Freshman of the Year in 2010 and OVC Offensive Player of the Year in 2012.

The voting is conducted by members of print, radio and television media who cover the OVC and its institutions.

2017-18 Top-10 — No. 4: APSU has an abundance of OVC honors

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Usually in Austin Peay State  University’s yearly top-10 countdown, APSU takes special care to identify each individual who was named Ohio Valley Conference Coach, Player, Freshman or other comparable “Of the Year” honor for their respective sport, because that’s a big deal and needs to be recognized as such.

But, well… there were too many this year, so they all get to go here.

Between coaches and players, 14 members of the Austin Peay extended family earned one of the top honors for their respective sport in 2017-18, including five Freshman of the Year honors.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Governors athletics have historic week on several fronts

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s spring sports continue to shine and impress, as baseball, softball and track & field continue to add to what has been a very successful school year for the Governors.

First, the Governors softball team (39-17) earned its first appearance in a national postseason tournament, with its selection into the National Invitational Softball Championship – the NCAA Division I softball equivalent to the men’s N.I.T Basketball Tournament.
