Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – For the second consecutive week, Austin Peay’s baseball team will square off against the team sitting second in the Ohio Valley Conference standings when it hosts Jacksonville State in a three-game series.

The conference set will begin with a 6:00pm, Friday contest before resuming at 2:00pm, Saturday. The two squads will wrap the series with a 1:00pm, Sunday contest.

Snodgrass’ 11-strikeouts, Govs late-inning heroics lead to win over Jacksonville State

Austin Peay State University GovernorsJackson, TN – Starter Jack Snodgrass struck out a career-high 11 batters and Austin Peay State University’s baseball team took advantage of two ninth-inning errors to pull off a 4-1 victory against Jacksonville State, Friday night, at the Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Championship at Pringles Park.

The contest got started as a pitcher’s duel with neither team plating a run through the first 6½ innings – the longest scoreless start to an OVC Tournament game since 2001.

Austin Peay State University GovernorsJacksonville, AL – Behind a pair of strong pitching performances, Austin Peay State University’s baseball team found itself with the opportunity to grab a sweep of Saturday’s Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader against Jacksonville State but will have to wonder what could have been as it settled for a split – winning the opener, 9-5, before losing the nightcap, 5-4, at Rudy Abbott Field.
