Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Vols men’s basketball team returns to home to Thompson-Boling Arena for a Saturday matinee matchup with South Carolina. Tipoff is set for 12:00pm CT on SEC Network.

Saturday’s game can be seen on SEC Network, online through WatchESPN and on any mobile device through the ESPN App. Fans can access WatchESPN at espn.com/watch. Mike Morgan, Pat Bradley and Ryan Yocum will have the call.

Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertlekamp describing the action.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (5-0), who last week made their season debut at No. 23 in the AP Poll and were receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, welcome Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-3) to Thompson-Boling Arena for a 6:00pm CT contest on Tuesday night. New AP and USA Today Coaches Polls will be released on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Tennessee is playing its third of six straight games on Rocky Top after opening with two of the season’s first three contests on the road. After facing UAPB, the Lady Vols welcome Air Force (December 1st), Texas (December 8th) and Colorado State (December 11th) to The Summitt.

Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball takes down Stetson, 73-46

 

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Five players scored in double figures, as No. 23 Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball team topped Stetson, 73-46, at Thompson-Boling Arena on Tuesday night to improve to 5-0 on the year.

The Lady Vols opened with five straight wins for the third season in a row, and they gave head coach Kellie Harper the first 5-0 start of her career.
 
Junior Rennia Davis and freshman Jordan Horston led Tennessee in scoring with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Sophomore Rae Burrell notched her first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while sophomore Jazmine Massengill pitched in 12 points and junior Kasiyahna Kushkituah tallied 11.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (4-0), who made their 2019 debut at No. 23 (tied with Gonzaga) in the AP poll on Monday and are receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, welcome Stetson (2-2) to Thompson-Boling Arena on Tuesday night for a 7:00pm CT match-up. 

This marks the 500th Lady Vol game played at T-BA since the venue came online during the 1987-88 season. UT has a 454-45 (.910) record there.

Tennessee Lady Vols basketball rolls past Tennessee State, 73-43

 

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball moved their record to 4-0 on Thursday night, defeating Tennessee State, 73-43, in front of a crowd of 7,213 at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The win marked the third-straight year that UT has started out 4-0, and the Lady Vols improved to 6-0 all-time against the Lady Tigers (1-1).
 
Eight players for the Big Orange scored during the first of six consecutive home games, with three of them scoring in double digits. Sophomore Rae Burrell came off the bench to lead the way with a career-high-tying 14, while junior Rennia Davis and junior Kasiyahna Kushkituah added 12 and 11, respectively.

After opening with two of its first three games on the road, Tennessee takes up residence on Rocky Top for a six-game home stand. After facing TSU, the Lady Vols welcome Stetson (November 19th), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (November 26th), Air Force (December 1st), No. 22/15 Texas (December 8th) and Colorado State (December 11th) to The Summitt. The Air Force game is UT’s Salute to Service game, while the Texas match-up is part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

Instant Peay Play: Spring Championships begins this week for APSU Govs

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – With another academic school year quickly coming to an end for Austin Peay State University, it marks the beginning of several conference championship weeks for its eight spring sports teams.

Kicking things off this week will be the women’s golf and beach volleyball teams, with the women’s golf team opening play at Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championship, April 15th-17th, and the beach volleyball team making its first ever post-season trip to the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships, April 18th-20th.
