Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) recalls over 1.8 million vehicles because Fuel Pump May Fail

 

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) recalled certain 2018-2019 4Runner, Highlander, Camry, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra, and Lexus RC 300, RC 350, GS 350, GX 460, IS 300, LC 500, LS 500, LX 570, RX 350L, and 2019 Toyota Avalon and Corolla, and certain Lexus NX 300, and ES 350 vehicles on January 13th, 2020.

On March 19th, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include 2015 Lexus GS350 vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Clarksville Police make arrests for Vehicle, Gun Stolen Outside of Clarksville

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report a 2008 Toyota Avalon stolen out of Centerville, TN on October 20th, 2019 and a 9mm handgun stolen out of Nashville, TN on September 2nd, 2019 were recovered in Clarksville. There were three adults and two juveniles charged in connection with the stolen car and handgun.

Officers spotted the stolen vehicle around 4:00pm, October 22nd in the area of West Dunbar Cave Road.

Clarksville Police report Fatality Crash at Peachers Mill Road, 101st Airborne Divison Parkway

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police responded to an early Wednesday morning crash at Peachers Mill Road and 101st Airborne Division Parkway that resulted in the death of Judy Tapia, a 49-year-old Clarksville resident.

Crash investigators stated a 2007 Toyota Avalon driven by Bradley Vezeau failed to stop for a red light on Peachers Mill Road and crashed into a 1999 Dodge van driven by Christopher Conroy. Tapia, a passenger in the van, was ejected from the vehicle and died from her injuries.
