Clarksville, TN – One thing for sure…Fairfield is road tough.
The Stags are 3-4 so far this season and have yet to play a home game. They are Austin Peay Governors Basketball’s first December opponent when the two meet, 7:30pm, Saturday, in Dave Aaron Arena.
Austin Peay Men’s Basketball vs. Jacksonville State
Nashville, TN – Austin Peay’s bid for the Ohio Valley Conference tourney championship and its seventh NCAA tournament appearance will begin 8:00pm, Wednesday, as the Governors face Jacksonville State in Municipal Auditorium.
The Governors enter the tournament as the No. 6 seed after finishing in a sixth-place tie with Jacksonville State. The Govs gained the higher seed as a result of winning the two team’s earlier meeting, a 60-57 APSU decision in Clarksville Tennessee.
Austin Peay State University’s Governors Basketball have trouble with pesky Rochester early, but comeback to win 72-50
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay expected Rochester to be tough. But maybe not as pesky as the Warriors turned out to be, because the Govs got everything the could handle from the NAIA school in the first 25:04 of the 40-minute game.
In the end, Austin Peay still found away to win and controled the final 14:56 en route to a 72-50 victory Saturday night in the Dunn Center.
“I was really disappointed in our play in the first half in a number of different ways,” APSU coach Dave Loos said. “But as poorly as we played in the first half, we proably played that well in the second half and it started with the eneregy we played with.”

Clarksville, TN – A post player who is a member of a two-time Georgia State championship team and whose father has a Governors history, is the latest Austin Peay State University basketball signee.
Chris Horton, a 6-8, 195-pound center for Columbia High School in Decatur, GA, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for APSU in 2012-13, becoming the third prep player to sign with the basketball Govs during the early signing period. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville, TN – Six Governors scored in double figures as Austin Peay State University rolled to a 98-55 victory against outmanned Manchester, Monday night, in exhibition basketball action at Dave Aaron Arena.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s final three games and site have been determined for the 11th annual College Basketball Experience (CBE).
After playing at California in an ESPN2 regional-round contest, Tuesday, November 15th, in Berkeley, CA, the Governors three subregional-round games will be played at the new Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio, against host Bowling Green, 6:00pm (CST), Monday, November 21st; George Washington, 4:00pm, Tuesday, November 22nd, and Detroit, 4:00pm, Wednesday, November 23rd. The road swing actually will commence with the Governors traveling to Tulsa, OK, Saturday, November 19th, to play Oral Roberts in a return game of the 2010 ESPN BracketBuster series. APSU will fly from Tulsa to Ohio after that contest.
