Vanderbilt Commodores Baseball to play Belmont, Lipscomb at First Horizon Park in March

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The defending National Champion Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team will return to First Horizon Park in 2020 for a pair of non-conference games. The SEC preseason favorites will square off against fellow Nashville programs on March 17th and 24th.

On Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30pm, the Commodores will play the Belmont Bruins in a non-conference game. The 2020 matchup marks the fifth consecutive year the two programs have played at First Horizon Park.

The following Tuesday, March 24th, Vanderbilt and the Lipscomb Bisons will meet for a non-conference tilt at 6:30pm. It will be the fourth meeting between the two programs at the home of the Sounds.

Nashville Sounds play four games against Omaha Storm Chasers at First Tennessee Park starting Thursday

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball baseball team is back at First Tennessee Park on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 to begin their penultimate homestand of the 2019 season.

The Sounds welcome the Omaha Storm Chasers for four games from August 15th-18th.

Some of the Sounds homestand highlights include Throwback Thursday, Woodstock Weekend, and Guitar Scoreboard Replica Picture Frame Giveaway.

Vanderbilt’s Tim Corbin named Collegiate Baseball National Coach of the Year

 

Vanderbilt CommodoresNashville, Tn –Two days after winning Vanderbilt’s first-ever men’s national title Commodores’ head coach Tim Corbin has been named National Coach of the Year by Collegiate Baseball.

Corbin led Vanderbilt to a 51-21 record, the Dores’ second straight 50-win season and third in the last four years. The Commodores returned to Omaha for the second time in four years winning the national title in just the school’s second-ever trip to the College World Series. Corbin surpassed 600 career wins during the season and now has 517 wins as the Commodores’ head coach, second-most in program history.

Vanderbilt Commodores beat Texas 4-3 at College World Series will play for National Championship

 

Men's College World Series - CWSOmaha, NE – The Commodores are going to be playing for a national championship on Monday night after defeating Texas, 4-3, in a winner-take-all contest Saturday night at the College World Series in Omaha.

Vanderbilt loaded the bases in the bottom of the 10th inning and won the game on an infield hit from Tyler Campbell that scored right fielder Rhett Wiseman from third. Wiseman was among five Commodore players to notch two hits on the night.
