Water service will be turned off on North Riverside Drive from North Spring Street to West Washington Street for water valve replacement work.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports South Riverside Drive Lane Closure

 

Tuesday, March 24th, 2015

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed approximately 600 feet of the outer southbound lane of South Riverside Drive beginning at West Washington Street to the Cumberland River train trestle for water main maintenance work.

The lane is expected to be closed for most of the day while construction crews perform the work; however, the road will be passable.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed West Washington Street between South Spring Street and South First Street for water service line replacement work. Motorists will be detoured to South Spring and South First streets.

Construction crews anticipate the work to be finished by approximately 1:00pm.

Clarksville City Council Regular Session Recap for May 2nd, 2013

 

Clarksville City Council - Ward 10Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville City Council met in its usual first Thursday of the month regular voting session on May 2nd, 2013. The agenda was one of the lightest I believe I have seen in 6 ½ years of being on the council.

Clarksville Police charge Suicidal Man with Intoxicated

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Saturday, March 16th, Clarksville Police responded to a 911 call about a man with a gun. A perimeter was set up to contain the man and officers evacuated neighbors in the surrounding houses. Around 4:47pm, Tactical Unit members were able to subdue the man.

The man, Gerald Bakker, was charged last night around 7:00pm for possession of a firearm while under the influence and public intoxication.

Clarksville Police subdued Suicidal Man with gun who wanted a battle with Police

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On March 16th, 2013, around 3:15pm, Clarksville Police responded to a 911 call about a man with a gun on Klines Alley who wanted a gun battle with Police.

Officer Patrick Wyatt was the first officer to arrive and saw an intoxicated 66 year old man sitting on the porch of a West Washington Street (Klines Alley and West Washington Street intersect) residence holding a rifle.
