Clarksville, TN – A 25 year old woman was kidnapped from a Heritage Pointe Drive residence by a previous acquaintance while three men, including her husband, helplessly watched it happen. The victim, during a separation from her husband, had been in a relationship with Hector L. Martinez, 29. The victim and her husband have recently reconciled and are trying to make their marriage work.
When the husband and witnesses were going to intervene, Martinez threatened to kill them if they interfered. But, none of them ever saw any weapons. The witnesses saw the victim continue to fight even as Martinez drove away with her. Martinez was gone before officers arrived and the suspect and vehicle description were broadcast locally and to surrounding areas.
Officer John Matos located the vehicle in the Stateline Road area. In the meantime, 911 operators were electronically trying to pinpoint Martinez’s location. Oak Grove Police were contacted to assist since Martinez’s location may have been in Oak Grove.
Finally, after trying to locate Martinez and the victim all through the night, both were found shortly after 7:00am on December 14th. Martinez was located at an Oak Grove apartment. Martinez had dropped the victim off at an unknown location and she had to walk until she was able to locate her Summerfield Drive residence. The victim had been so severely assaulted that she was sent by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt.
