Another winter storm moves into the area

Ice & Snow Take It SlowClarksville, TN – There is a winter storm watch out for the Clarksville-Montgomery County area. A very dynamic and moist winter system will move across the area bringing heavy snow to the Middle Tennessee region tonight and Wednesday. Accumulations between 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected. Travel conditions will become hazardous tonight and Wednesday morning. School and other closings will be listed here as they come in.

Circuit Court Clerk

Due to the hazardous road conditions, the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office will be opening at 10:00am this morning. The Petit Jury Panel is not to report. Judge Jones will be issuing reporting instructions for the Jurors serving in the trail that is underway and we will be calling you. Use caution in your travels.

Judge Hicks court ready to go as scheduled at 9:00am if the parties make it. They do not need Clerks to get started. The remainder of the sessions will be delayed.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemDue to hazardous driving conditions, CMCSS will be closed today, Wednesday, January 26th.

CMCSS has implemented its Inclement Weather Makeup Plan located at www.cmcss.net/calendar/inclementplan.asp . Today’s closing will now call for students to attend school on April 22nd.

Clarksville Academy

Clarksville Academy will be closed Wednesday, January 26th due to the snow and ice.  We ask that everyone have a fun and safe day out.

Austin Peay State University

Austin Peay State UniversityDue to inclement weather conditions, APSU will be closed Wednesday, January 26th. This includes the Fort Campbell campus and classes at the Renaissance Center in Dickson. Please check your campus email or visit www.apsu.edu for further updates.

Montgomery County

Montgomery CountyMontgomery County Government offices will be opening 1 hour late. All essential personnel please report as scheduled. Drive safely Montgomery County!

The Register of Deeds office, County Clerk’s office, Assessor’s Office and Election Commission will all be opening at 10:00am.

Fort Campbell KY

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne Division

Personal reconnaissance report – roads are covered with snow, but roads are trafficable (as of 0430). DPW salt trucks are on the roads now, and we expect that to break the snow up pretty quick . If you must come onto post in the next two hours, please drive carefully and give yourself extra time. stay tuned to local news and this site for updates.

Fort Campbell Schools are closed for Wednesday, January 26th. Morning Pre-k is cancelled.

Fort Campbell post remains on a 2-hour delay.

There will be no delay or change to reporting time for all personnel involved with or supporting the redeployment flight.

Christian County

Christian (KY) County schools will be closed Wednesday, January 26th due to the snowy conditions.
