Junior Vanja Tomic’s match at No. 1 singles was left unfinished, but head coach Malik Tabet was pleased her performance. The rest of the team lost straight-set matches, but it wasn’t for lack of effort. BYU Hawaii was the challenge expected.

“BYU Hawaii is one of the country’s top Division II teams,” Tabet said. “I really didn’t get what I wanted out of this match, but overall, I thought we played well. Vanja is seeming to get back on track and that good. Rachel is starting to play her best tennis as well and that what’s we need out of her.”

Austin Peay will have to put this match behind them and get set to continue road action in Ohio Valley Conference play at Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State, beginning next Friday.
