APSU Lacross Club Holding Fall Skills Clinic this Saturday

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Lacrosse Club will hold a fall skills clinic for both APSU students and area youth interested in lacrosse.

APSU Lacrosse Club members are partnering with ClarksvilleLAX in a basic skills clinic for all ages from noon-4:00pm, Saturday, October 15th at the APSU intramural fields, located on the corner of Marion and Drane streets. Refreshments and T-shirts will be provided for clinic participants along with fun lacrosse drills and skill building activities.

Lacrosse is not only the “fastest game on two feet” but also one of the fastest growing sports in America. Its origins come from Native Americans and is said to be “America’s oldest sport,” according to the website laxhistory.com. The goal of the APSU Lacrosse Club is to grow the sport of lacrosse at APSU and compete in intramural competitions. No experience is necessary to join the APSU club.

The goal of Clarksville Lacrosse is to provide a safe and productive environment that enables children to learn and apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication and sportsmanship. This local organization facilitates the development of strength and character in every child who participates. Participation in this sport is open to all boys and girls in the area.
