Tennessee Department of Transportation plans road maintenance in Montgomery County along Interstate 24

Part of TDOT Road Maintenance for Middle Tennessee

Tennessee Department of TransportationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation is continuing to do maintenance long State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee.

In Montgomery County, there are a few projects planned along Interstate 24 from April 30th through May 2nd.

Monday April 30th through Wednesday May 2nd, (excluding weekends), 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

I-24 – Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties

Montgomery County and Robertson County

Monday April 30th through Wednesday May 2nd, 9:00am-12:00pm, there will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 in both directions in Robertson and Montgomery Counties to move equipment between mile marker 25 and mile marker 12 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.

One lane will remain open.

Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson and Sumner Counties

Monday April 39th through Wednesday May 2nd, 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 0 mile marker to the 32 mile marker in (Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties) and on I-65 from the 97.71 mile marker to the 121.47 mile marker in (Robertson and Sumner Counties) in order to spray guardrails for vegetation control. (This will be a moving operation.)

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
