APSU Sports: Austin Peay Football
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s football team will return to the field for its third practice week with a full-padded workout, Tuesday afternoon.

That was the bad news…the good news was the Govs running game gobbled up 141 rushing yards on 22 attempts, including 103 yards on 12 carries by senior Terrence Oliver and 35 yards on five carries from Ean Pemberton. Starting running back Reco Williams sat out with a minor shoulder injury.
Defensively, the Governors returned two pass interceptions for scores, including one from starting safety Tyreon Clark and the other by walk-on Nicholas Smart. Cornerback Montez Carlton and linebacker Adam Noble had the other two picks.
The Governors will practice in full attire, Tuesday and Thursday, and will be in shoulder pads only on Friday before conducting second scrimmage, 10:00am, Saturday.
