Clarksville, TN – West Creek High School broke open a three-point game versus Rossview High School, November 7th at the Dunn Center, in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) Basketball Jamboree by closing out the contest with a 16-0 run for a 37-18 victory.
The Coyotes led 21-17 at the end of the first quarter, before seeing the Hawks score the first point of the second period – on 1-of-2 free throws by Cannon Campbell — at the 7:31 mark to cut the deficit to three.

Courtney Spencer would start the final Coyotes run by scoring four straight points, on 1-of-2 free throws followed by a three-point field goal, with 6:39 left.
Spencer would finish with a game-high 10 points.
There would be only one more basket by the Coyotes over the next two minutes – a bucket by Davan Jones at the 6:18 mark – to push the Coyotes lead out to nine, 27-18.
A basket by Kistler Fletcher, at the 4:34 mark, gave the Coyotes their largest lead of the game, 11 points, 29-18, at the 4:34 mark.
James Johnson would follow with back-to-back baskets for West Creek, while the final two buckets came from Adam Wendel and Jones.
In the first quarter, Rossview would jump out to a 7-3 lead in the first 1:25, behind a three-point basket by Javon Vaughn, a bucket by Jackson Parker and two free throws by Jalen Wheat.
West Creek would answer back with six straights points – including back-to-back baskets by Jones – to take its first lead of the game, 9-7 at the 4:56 mark.
Vaughn would knock down a three for Rossview to regain the lead, 10-9, with 4:14 left, but that would be the last lead of the game for the Hawks, with the Coyotes going on an 11-0 run over the next 2:23 to go up 20-10.
Rossview would cut into the Coyotes lead in the final 1:31 of the first quarter, outscoring West Creek 7-1, behind three-point baskets by Wheat and Donterius Peacher to go with 1-of-2 free throws by Vaughn to make it a four-point game at the end of the quarter.
Vaughn led Rossview’s scorers with seven points.
