Nashville, TN – Top business and community leaders were recently elected to the board of directors for Leadership Middle Tennessee (LMT), a program whose annual classes of 32-38 citizen leaders are immersed in a 10-month curriculum of county-by-county experiential visits combined with intense study of various facets of Middle Tennessee’s economic, social, cultural, educational and lifestyle issues.

The 2015-2016 year will mark Varallo’s second as LMT chair. Other officers elected for the 2015-2016 year are: Dr. Paul Stumb of Wilson County, chairman-elect and dean of the Labry School of Business at Cumberland University; Valerie Hunter-Kelly of Montgomery County, secretary and a sales executive at Keller Williams Realty; Gina Scott of Sumner County, treasurer and finance committee chair and a senior vice president at Pinnacle Financial Partners; and Seab Tuck of Williamson County, past chair and a partner at Tuck-Hinton Architects. Ex-officio board members are: Jack B. Turner of Montgomery County, chair emeritus and president at Jack B. Turner & Associates; Dr. David Urban of Rutherford County, dean of the Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University; and Ralph Schulz of Davidson County, president & CEO of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.

LMT’s diverse and dynamic alumni group celebrated its 15th anniversary on June 27th, 2015, at Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam’s Tennessee Residence in Nashville. The event included a live auction of items donated from the organization’s 10 counties. Proceeds exceeded $24,000, making it one of the most successful fundraising events in the organization’s history. The celebration was coordinated by the LMT Class of 2015.
The newly elected members of the Class of 2016 will be announced later this month.
