Montgomery County Offices Closed Today, January 22nd, due to road conditions

Montgomery County, TN – For the safety of our employees and the citizens of Montgomery County, Montgomery County Government Offices will be closed today, Friday, January 22nd, 2016, due to the treacherous roads conditions. Public Safety personnel will report as scheduled.

Courts are also closed, and will be rescheduled.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett states, “With the current icy conditions and the prediction of continuous snowfall for the remainder of the day, I feel that we need to keep people off the roads, if at all possible. I urge citizens to stay home, as roads are getting worse and crews are working hard to salt and clear roads, which becomes more complicated with traffic.”

Durrett continues, “I also want to thank the emergency personnel and road crews with both the County and City governments for their hard work and dedication to the safety of our citizens during this winter weather event.”
