Clarksville Police release update on Motorcycle Crash on Toliver Way

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 4th, 2016 a motorcycle collided with a parked vehicle at the 1000 block of Toliver Way around 11:14pm. The driver of the motorcycle was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center

The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as Brandon Waynick, 27, a Clarksville resident. Clarksville Police Traffic Investigator Larry Harris stated the evidence suggests that Waynick left his residence on the motorcycle, without a helmet, and traveled a short distance before losing control.

Harris estimated the bike skidded approximately eighty-three feet before slamming into the back of a parked and unoccupied 2016 Ford Escape. Both vehicles were damaged.

Waynick, who was Lifeflighted to Vanderbilt Hospital, remains there in stable condition.

Alcohol beverages are believed to have been a factor in this crash. Charges are pending.
