Public invited to comment on short list of proposed sites
Clarksville, TN – The current location on Legion Street and two other downtown properties are at the top of the list of sites being considered as the future home of the Clarksville Transit System Transfer Center.
The no-build option and the expansion of the existing transfer center rank as the top options with 77 points in an evaluation of project criterion.

The three sites were discussed Thursday at the third public meeting in the ongoing process to identify preferred and back up sites for a potential new transfer center.
The meeting was conducted by the City of Clarksville, the Regional Planning Commission, the Clarksville Urbanized Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), and project consultants WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, which is preparing the Transfer Center Relocation Feasibility Study.
The study is examining the need for and feasibility of relocating the existing CTS Transfer Center on Legion Street to another location in close proximity to the existing center.
At the first meeting in August, the MPO provided a list of 28 possible sites. After public comments and further analysis, the list was narrowed to seven, which were discussed at the second meeting October 4th.
The final preferred site or sites will be announced in December, according to the timeline provided by the consultants.
