Clarksville, TN – After sweeping its four-match homestand, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) volleyball team will make a quick trip around Music City for a pair of Ohio Valley Conference contests.
The Govs will first face Belmont in a 6:00pm, Friday, October 12th match before heading across town for a 2:00pm, Saturday, October 13th affair at Tennessee State.

The Govs are off to their best OVC start in program history and are the lone unbeaten team remaining in OVC play after the league season’s first three weekends.
Austin Peay leads all OVC teams in kills per set (14.61), attack percentage (.250), assists (13.74), digs (17.70) and overall win percentage (.889) entering Week 8.
The Govs were ranked No. 48 in the season’s first NCAA Volleyball RPI, October 7th. It was the highest RPI ranking for an OVC team since the current RPI was established in 2006. Austin Peay enters this weekend ranked No. 54 in the RPI.
Senior setter Kristen Stucker earned her fifth OVC Setter of the Week award, Monday. She paced the Govs to a .253 team attack percentage last week while averaging 12.57 assists per set. Stucker now ranks among Division I’s Top 10 in assists per set.
Senior outside hitter Cecily Gable set a career high with 24 kills in the Govs four-set win against SIU Edwardsville last week. She finished the week with 33 kills (4.71/set) while posting a .265 attack percentage.
Junior libero Ginny Gerig opened last week with a 21-dig (7.00/set) outing in the Govs three-set win against Eastern Illinois. She led a defensive unit that held opponents to a .178 attack percentage.
Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Moore had a team-leading 16 kills in the win against Eastern Illinois and posted 29 kills (4.14/set) on the week. while hitting .235.
Head coach Taylor Mott became the first APSU head coach since 1992 to earn OVC Coach of the Year honors in 2017. She notched her 400th career win and became the second head coach to record 100 wins at APSU during the 2017 season.
