Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Fright on Franklin rescheduled to October 27th

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Fright on Franklin, which had been planned for Saturday, October 26th, has been rescheduled because of the threat of inclement weather.

Fright on Franklin will be from 3:00pm-6:00pm Sunday, October 27th, 2019 in historic downtown Clarksville.

Fright on Franklin, presented by Altra Federal Credit Union, is a free, family-friendly event featuring safe trick-or-treating, a hayride, costume contests and more. Follow the screams (of delight) to an afternoon and evening of fun Halloween-themed activities.

A costume contest will be staged at the City Hall/US Bank parking lot. Prizes will be awarded for “Best Costume” in each age group and “Best Group.” Prizes include Altra Federal Credit Union gift cards, D&D Blacklight Mini Golf passes, and Academy Sports + Outdoors gift cards.

Pre-registration is encouraged and available online at www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com through 7:00am Friday, October 25th. Registration will be available at the event on a first-come, first-served basis. The contest is free to enter.

Contest categories include ages 0-2 at 3:15pm, ages 3-6 at 3:45pm, ages 7-9 at 4:15pm, ages 10-12 at 4:45pm, and group costumes at 5:15pm. Preference will be given to original costumes in all age categories. Registrants are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time to check-in. All costumes should be in good taste and appropriate for a family event.

Fright on Franklin also will feature 70 trick-or-treat booths and a hayride provided by the Knights of Columbus and more. To view a full list of participating vendors, visit www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com
