Huntsville, AL – Freshman Martin Rejman finished second among Division I runners and Austin Peay State University men’s cross-country team got four top-20 finishes in a strong field at Saturday’s Fleet Feet Sports/Earl Jacoby Memorial at Sharon Johnston Park, hosted by Alabama-Huntsville.

Freshmen Hunter Guthrie (27:03.0, 13th), Daniel Hamm (27:12.1, 16th) and Kyle Harmon (27:25.6, 19th) pulled top-20 finishes for the Govs. Austin Peay’s top four finishers have all been freshmen in each of 2013’s first three races.
Sophomore transfer Cory Nwaiji rounded out the Govs counting scores, finishing 30th with a 28:08.7 mark. Freshmen Thomas Owen (29:38.0, 48th) and Nathan Sparks (31:49.6, 62nd) also competed for the Govs.
“Pretty solid day overall,” Molnar said. “Hunter and Martin had very solid performances. This will be something to build on.”
Austin Peay will take two weeks away from competition, focusing on training and fitness, before returning to the course Saturday, October 5th, at the Greater Louisville Classic, hosted by Louisville at Tom Sawyer State Park.
