City of Clarksville announces Riverview Cemetery wall to be replaced

 

Section of Spring Street will be closed during excavation

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The old stone wall along Spring Street at Riverview Cemetery will be replaced with a new, stronger concrete wall in a $500,000 Clarksville Streets Department project that will begin June 1st, 2020.

Neely Engineering & Contracting of Clarksville was awarded the contract to take down the failing stone wall and replace it with a poured concrete wall with a stone veneer.

Clarksville Police Captain Scott Thornton rescues injured Owl

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department reports it turned out to be an injured owl’s lucky day.

Captain Scott Thornton, CPD, was headed to work this morning and came across an injured owl on Salem Road. It was sitting in the middle of the road and unable to fly.

As Captain Thornton stopped to try and help, the owl managed to limp its way off the road into the wood line.

Doggie Palooza was a barking good time for Man’s Best Friend

 

The City of Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation along with the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Total Canine Care held the 4th Annual Doggie Palooza at the Bark Park located in Heritage Park on Saturday.

The event kicked off with a demonstration by the Clarksville Police Department’s K9 teams.
