Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsFayetteville, AR – The Tennessee Vols men’s basketball team hits the road for a Wednesday night contest with SEC foe Arkansas. Tipoff inside Bud Walton Arena is slated for 7:30pm CT on SEC Network.

Saturday’s game can be seen on SEC Network, online through WatchESPN, which can be accessed at espn.com/watch and on any mobile device through the ESPN App. Mike Morgan and Jon Sundvold will have the call.

Fans can also listen in on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bill Justus describing the action.

Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball loses at Arkansas, 83-75

 

UT Lady VolsFayetteville, AR Rae Burrell poured in 15 points in the fourth quarter to pull UT within four in the final minutes, but it wasn’t enough to overcome No. 22/25 Arkansas on road in an 83-75 setback Thursday night at Bud Walton Arena.
 
Burrell led Tennessee (17-9, 7-6 SEC) in scoring and rebounding with 21 points and nine boards, narrowly missing a double-double. Rennia Davis was also in double digits, finishing with 18 points and eight rebounds.  
 
Amber Ramirez was Arkansas’ (21-5, 9-4 SEC) high scorer, posting 29 points, and Alexis Tolefree was close behind with 22.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (17-8, 7-5 SEC), which is receiving votes in this week’s AP and USA TODAY Coaches Polls, will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, where it will meet the No. 22/25 Arkansas Razorbacks (20-5, 8-4 SEC) on Thursday at 6:02pm CT (7:02pm ET) at Bud Walton Arena.
 
The Lady Vols enter the contest in seventh place in the SEC standings and a game back of UA, which is tied for third place with Kentucky, LSU and Texas A&M. This will mark the 35th meeting in a series that began in 1992. UT has a 30-4 record vs. UA and has won four of the past five.

APSU Men's BasketballFayetteville, AR – Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball found that it more than measured up to Southeastern Conference competition, giving Arkansas all it could handle in a 76-65 defeat at Bud Walton Arena, Friday.

Austin Peay (8-5) battled to the end and got huge minutes from its reserves but Arkansas (9-3) made a late second-half push to down the Govs in both squads nonconference finales.

So too did the Govs sixth straight win in 2018—maybe not an Ohio Valley Conference Tournament title, but it will do. For now.

The 67th meeting between the Lady Vols and Lady Bulldogs is a key one, with UT currently tied with South Carolina and Texas A&M in third place in the Southeastern Conference standings and UGA sitting in second, one game ahead of the Lady Vols.
 
Tennessee has won three straight and four of its last five recently after dropping three of four vs. a quartet of ranked foes from January 11th to January 21st.
