Customs House Museum receives $150,000 Donation from Kiwanis Club of Clarksville for Children’s Area Remodel

 

Customs House Museum & Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – During the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center’s Grand Illumination lighting event held on October 3rd, 2020, Executive Director Frank Lott had a special announcement for those in attendance.

The Downtown Kiwanis Club of Clarksville has pledged $150,000 for the renovation of the Museum’s children’s area known as Explorers’ Landing.

Clarksville’s Downtown Kiwanis Club receives UPS Grant

 

Kiwanis Club of ClarksvilleMontgomery County, TN – The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville (Downtown) was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from the UPS Foundation.

This is the second year that Kiwanis has been awarded this grant and it will be used to continue to support children’s literacy in our community.

Clarksville Downtown Kiwanis Club Awards Annual Scholarship to Clarksville Academy’s Evelyn Turner

 

Kiwanis Club of ClarksvilleMontgomery County, TN – The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville (Downtown) recently awarded their annual $2,000 scholarship to Evelyn Turner.

Turner is a recent graduate of Clarksville Academy, with plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin in August. Turner was a member of the Clarksville Academy Key Club, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville (Downtown).

Austin Peay State University announces Candlelight Ball Award winners

The Wendell H. Gilbert Award will go to Jack B. Turner (’67), president of Jack B. Turner and Associates, and the Spirit of Austin Peay Award will go to Josh Baggett (’05), district engineering technician with Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation.
