Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – As the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off in mere days, one former Austin Peay State University soccer star will compete against the best players on the planet.

Tatiana Ariza will be one of 23 names on the Colombian National Team squad making the trip to Canada, and will wear number 15.

APSU Women’s Soccer places four on All-OVC Teams

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUMartin, TN – Four Austin Peay State University women’s soccer players were honored at the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference postseason awards banquet, Wednesday, in the annual ceremony prior to the start of the OVC Tournament.

Seniors Tatiana and Natalia Ariza both found homes on the first-team, while fellow senior Andy Quiceno was a second-team honoree. Freshman Gina Fabbro earned a spot on the All-Newcomer team.

APSU Lady Govs Soccer’s Ariza sisters ready for final Season

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Beginning the final year of college can be stressful for many students. There’s another year of coursework to complete, sure, but there’s also a massive job search looms at year’s end for most graduates. For others, there are already bills to pay, with a mountain of student loans to pay off in the future.

Few also have elusive Ohio Valley Conference titles to chase while wondering if their professional soccer careers will keep them in the United States or take them to Europe, but not all students are like Natalia and Tatiana Ariza.

Tatiana Ariza set to make Women’s World Cup appearance with Columbian National Team, Tuesday

Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – For the first time in school history, Austin Peay State University women’s soccer program will be represented in FIFA’s Women’s World Cup with upcoming sophomore Tatiana Ariza playing for the Colombian national team, beginning with a Tuesday match against Sweden.

Although the appearance is new to this Colombian team, Ariza is one of several players that participated in the U-20 Women’s World Cup, last summer, also in Germany. Ariza also was a key player in the U-17 team’s run in 2008.
