La Vergne, TN – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in conjunction with the La Vergne Police Department and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction for those responsible for the theft of firearms from Specialty Arms, a federal firearm licensee (FFL).
On April 12th, 2021, Specialty Arms FFL, 184 Old Nashville Highway, La Vergne, Tennessee, was burglarized where approximately four firearms were reported stolen to the La Vergne Police Department.
Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch from noon until late tonight for Clarksville-Montgomery County and portions of Middle Tennessee.
Heavy showers associated with the remnants of Hurricane Laura will move across Middle Tennessee this afternoon and tonight. 1 to 2 inch rainfall amounts will be common, but a few locations under the heaviest showers could have 3 to 4 inches.
Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that patchy dense fog is expected to form this morning across Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee. The fog will occur mainly near bodies of water and other mid state low lying fog prone development locations.
In locations experiencing dense fog, visibilities will be less than one quarter of a mile. Slow down, be sure to use your low-beam headlights, and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
This fog should begin to burn off by 8:00am CT.
Memphis, TN – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown male who entered the Regions Bank branch located at 5021 Murfreesboro Road, La Vergne, Tennessee, today at approximately 9:30am.
The unknown male passed a robbery demand note to one of the tellers and fled the scene in a light-colored Nissan Maxima.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’6″ to 5’8″ tall, with a medium build.
Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as a portion of Middle Tennessee.
At 1:18pm CT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles southeast of Clarksville to 10 miles north of Dickson. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Nashville, TN – The National Weather service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory for Friday afternoon for Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee.
Dangerously Hot and Humid Conditions are expected across the area.
The combination of heat and high humidity will push heat indicies above 105 tomorrow afternoon for areas west of the Cumberland Plateau.

Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a Wind Advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee, which is in effect from 9:00am this morning, Monday, December 31st, 2018 until 6:00pm CT this evening.
South winds will increase this morning as a strengthening low pressure system moves out of Arkansas into the Great Lakes region. Winds will decrease this evening behind a cold front that will quickly sweep across Middle Tennessee.
Nashville, TN – Special Agents in the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit have obtained an indictment for a nurse accused of falsifying records, resulting in fraudulent claims to TennCare.
After receiving information from the Tennessee Department of Health, Agents began investigating Brenda Shields (DOB 4-4-70) on March 14th. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that Shields, while working as an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for CareAll, falsified timesheets and nursing notes, forged client signatures, and did not work some of her shifts as reported to her employer.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation adds Edward Tarras Jr of Rutherford County to State’s Top Ten List
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has a new addition to the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, Edward William Tarras, Jr. of La Vergne, TN.
Tarras is wanted by the Smyrna Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation after failing to appear in court last Friday, where he faced almost two dozen sex-related charges.
