Tennessee Department of Education Awards Middle School STEM Start-Up Grants, Middle School CTE Start-Up Grants
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and the Tennessee Department of Education are awarding start-up grants to fund middle school career and technical education (CTE); science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education; and the expansion of equitable access and participation in early postsecondary opportunities (EPSOs).
Clarksville, TN – On August 7th, 2019, the Clarksville Association of Realtors (CAR) presented F.U.E.L. (Full of Emmaus Love) a check for $13,541.71 at its quarterly General Membership Meeting. The money was raised during CAR’s annual Appetite for Arts fundraiser held on April 13th.
Cunningham, TN – Last Saturday, July 27th, 2019, the Central Civitan held the 111th Annual Lone Oak Picnic at the Central Civitan Club building located at 275 Highway 13.
This free event featured live music, inflatables for the kids, face painting, silent auction, a car cruise in and off course the BBQ the picnic is famous for.
Great day, great crowd, great weather, one hundred and eleven years of doing this and going strong,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson. “This is one of the biggest and best organized community events that I have ever been to in Montgomery County. Talking to other Sheriffs that go to events across the state, they say the same thing.”
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reminds everyone that a new school year is about to begin, so it is time to put our thinking caps back on and pay attention to school zones, added pedestrian traffic, and those big yellow buses transporting the children.
Law enforcement will be out in full force to ensure motorists are following the rules of the road in school zones and along the bus route paths.
Cunningham, TN – On Saturday, July 27th, 2019, the 111th Annual Lone Oak Picnic will be held from 10:00am to 2:00pm. It will take place on the grounds surrounding Central Civitan Club’s building at 275 Highway 13 in Cunningham, TN. Free parking will be off of Alonzo Place.
Free and open to the public, the Picnic will include musical entertainment from father-son duo Back Lot Pickers and other musical guests. Children will enjoy inflatables and face painting. A car cruise-in and silent auction will round out the entertainment.

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation hosted its Second Annual Red Carpet Teacher of the Year Awards, sponsored by James Corlew Chevrolet. Other event sponsors included Elliott’s Jewelers and Montgomery County Commissioner Charles Keene.
Cunningham, TN – The Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Chili Supper will be held this Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 . It will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Montgomery Central Middle School.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to come enjoy a bowl of chili with cornbread, crackers, drink and dessert.
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Soldiers to share holidays with Flat Stanleys for Northeast Middle School

Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers from Fort Camopbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) received a homework assignment over the holidays from Partner in Education students at Northeast Middle School.
Soldiers and federal employees will be taking a Flat Stanley home for the holidays and documenting his experiences in a letter for the students to read when their Flat Stanley is returned in the new year.
