Tennessee Association of Craft Artists Show at Clarksville’s Customs House Museum

 

Clarksville's Customs House Museum and Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – Twenty four members of TACA will exhibit woodturnings, ceramics, tapestries, and embroideries; as well as, traditional paintings and photography at the museum this month.

Most Tennesseans are familiar with the TACA (Tennessee Association of Craft Artists) Craft Fairs that take over Nashville’s Centennial Park every year. The events have repeatedly been ranked as one of the “Top Twenty Events in the Southeast” by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Impressive New Exhibitions Explore Man’s Relationship with Nature at the Renaissance Center

 

The Public is Invited to a Free Reception on Friday, October 19th

The Renaissance CenterDickson, TN – The Renaissance Center is excited to present five new and impressive art exhibits that explore man’s relationship with nature, good and bad, simple and complicated.

Visitors to The Renaissance Center can’t miss Alan LeQuire’s impressive “Dream Forest” exhibit in the Rotunda, featuring nine 12-foot high interpretive human torsos assembled as a tree-like forest. Visitors can also walk amongst the colossal sculptures and read the poetic “dreams” inscribed on the pieces.

101st Combat Aviation Brigade Soldiers run in 13th Annual Country Music Marathon for Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital

Nashville, TN – Service members and celebrities were among approximately 31,000 runners in the 13th Annual Country Music Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee, Saturday.

Beautiful weather greeted all the runners who participated in the charity event for  Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The event resembled more of a block party than running event. The 26.2-mile route was lined with 50 bands playing live on 28 different stages, cheerleaders and thousands of spectators. The course wound its way through the heart of Nashville’s historic Music Row.

Ronald Schlangen, Headquarters and Headquarters Company senior non-commissioned officer in charge, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division runs the 13th Annual Country Music Marathon in Nashville, Tenn., Saturday.
