Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department has turned off water service on Airport Road from Fort Campbell Boulevard to Outlaw Field Road for water main leak repair. Low water pressure may also affect the vicinity during the work.
Former Clarksville City Council member was ‘a Pillar of the Community’
Clarksville, TN – Barbara E. Johnson, who served three consecutive terms as a Clarksville City Council member from 1999 to 2010, died August 3rd, 2020, at age 85.
Mrs. Johnson, who represented Ward 1, was chosen to serve as Mayor Pro Tem in 2007 and 2008. She also served on many of the Council’s standing committees, including as chairwoman of the Public Safety and Transportation committees.
Montgomery County, TN – On Thursday, August 1st, 2019, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Airport was honored as the latest Green Certified organization. A green ribbon cutting was held to celebrate the achievement and to welcome the Airport to the Green Certification Program.
The Airport is the 122nd organization to complete the Green Certification Program requirements. The green ribbon cutting was attended by Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, City of Clarksville Chief of Staff James Halford Jr., Green Certification Program Manager Carlye Sommers, and Green Certification Program Board Members Doug Jones (Montgomery County) and Haley Randell (APSU).

Clarksville, TN – The public is invited to an upcoming free family-friendly motorcycle event in Clarksville.
Coppers & Choppers, hosted by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Traffic Safety Task Force, will be held Saturday, May 11th from 10:00am to 3:00pm and is open to motorcycles of all types.
The event will kick off at Governor’s Square Mall (2801 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard) and move over to the Clarksville Regional Airport (200A Outlaw Field Road).
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report a Cessna 182 crashed on landing at the Clarksville Regional Airport about 3:30pm Sunday, May 6th, 2018.
The aircraft touched down, went through the perimeter fence and came to rest on the shoulder of Outlaw Field Road, blocking one lane of traffic.
Initial reports are that the pilot was the only occupant.

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, June 2nd, 2017 around 11:49 am, Clarksville Police Officers were called to a Theft Of Motor Vehicle at 2491 Fort Campbell Boulevard.
The 46 old male victim had left his vehicle running, unattended, when he went into Mapco. He was in the store for about 30 seconds, turned around, looked outside, and noticed his Gray 2004 Ford Expedition was missing.
Fort Campbell, KY – A train car is derailed on Airport Road near the intersection of Outlaw Field Road. The road may be closed for a few hours while the car is removed.
Expect reduced lanes for traffic in the vicinity while this is resolved. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible, while this is resolved.
