Clarksville High Completes Investigation on Hazing

Clarksville High School WildcatsAllegations of hazing and inappropriate behavior during Clarksville High School’s summer football camp at NaCoMe were confirmed by administration as a result of the school’s investigation.

Individual consequences were administered to students based upon the level of involvement of the students and based upon the culpability of adults charged with oversight of student safety, behavior and adherence to the Student Code of Conduct.

Results of the investigation showed that:

  • Athletes were not appropriately supervised
  • Individual and group hazing confirmed
  • Parents and students revealed inappropriate behaviors and hazing occurred in previous camps

The head coach has since resigned and the new interim head coach for the season has been named – Derek Crass.

“This has been a challenging time for the Clarksville High School community. Our goal is to unite in support of our students,” stated Phyllis Casebolt, Principal of Clarksville High School.
