BastogneFort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionKunar Province, Afghanistan – Task Force Bulldog helped move materials at a mountaintop observation post in eastern Afghanistan’s Kunar Province September 21st.

The unit visited Observation Post Rocky to help prepare for transferring the base from the Afghan National Police to the Afghan National Army by the end of October. The handover will allow more police officers to be placed at stations closer to more heavily populated areas.

A sniper fired numerous shots at the ISAF and ANA during the September 21st visit, but no troops were injured in the attack.
