Clarksville, TN – The College Democrats of Austin Peay State University (APSU) held an interest and reorganizational meeting to elect their executive officers and to gear up for the academic and electoral season.
The College Democrats of APSU fall under the umbrella of the College Democrats of America (CDA) which is the official youth outreach arm of the Democratic Party. It consists of over 100,000 colleges and university students from across the United States. The organization has served as a way for college students to connect with the Democratic Party and Democratic campaigns and has produced many prominent liberal, progressive activists and leaders.

The College Democrats of APSU will hold its general meetings every Monday in room number 308 inside the APSU Morgan Student University Center starting at 4:30pm.
Due to the seriousness of the upcoming campaign season the College Democrats of APSU felt it was necessary to meet on a weekly basis but plan to meet bi-weekly once things are up and running in full gear.
APSU College Democrat President Ryan Whipkey stressed to the group that they are open to everyone in the community and encourage everyone to bring a guest or two, to next week’s meeting.
The following officers were sworn in and sign their pledge of support and allegiants to their respective positions, offices and organization.
