Clarksville, TN – Sidewalk repairs started March 12th at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center. The main entrance to the Museum is closed so that repairs to the sidewalk can be completed.
The Museum wants to remind visitors that during this time, everyone must use the back entrance located in the Museum’s parking lot. Again, the Museum is not closed during this repair. The back entrance is open. The Museum is currently getting an upgrade. The 1898 Customs House Building is being renovated in order to provide an improved environment for both visitors and artifacts.
While these improvements are being made the following areas will be inaccessible: Heritage Hall, Memory Lane, and the DeWald, Peg Harvill, and Explorers’ Galleries.
The renovations on the 1898 building will began on January 30th and continue into April.
There is still plenty to do and see at the Museum during this time.
