Clarksville, TN – Tennessee State Sen. Mark E. Green M.D. invites employers and job seekers to attend the Austin Peay State University College (APSU) of Science and Mathematics career fair from 10:00am to 2:00pm on February 27th, 2013.
The fair will be held in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.The only current requirement for participants is to be a graduate or current student in a 2-year or 4-year STEM curriculum. For clarification, “S-Science” means any mathematical or physical science (not a social science); “T-Technology” means any scientific, engineering or medical technology program; “E-Engineering” means any engineering discipline including general and pre-engineering; “M-Mathematics” means any theoretical or applied Mathematics plus Computer/Computational Science. Any one that plans to attend, please bring as many copies of your resume as possible.
The leaders of the job fair have graciously invited, Hemlock Semiconductor Group, who will have over 90 individuals seeking employment at the Career Fair; these individuals have earned a STEM degree and have at least two years of experience in the chemical processing industry. APSU will have over 60 computer science graduates and students nearing graduation, plus a variety of STEM students and graduates from chemistry, geosciences, engineering technology, mathematics, and physics all seeking employment opportunities.
“The unemployment rate in our nation and district is unacceptable. We must work together to find good-paying jobs in our area for our family, friends, and neighbors. I encourage everyone to utilize my office as a resource to help, and I would like to thank APSU for inviting the employers and job seekers to participate in this career fair,” Senator Green said.
