3rd Brigade Combat Team Soldiers reunite with loved ones
Fort Campbell, KY – A welcome home ceremony was held for 33 returning Soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), at Fort Campbell, KY, May 20th, to recognize the completion of their deployment to Afghanistan.

Families, friends and colleagues greeted the Soldiers after returning from their nine-month deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom—where their endeavors and selfless service contributed significantly to mission accomplishment in assisting Afghanistan efforts Regional Command-East.
These Soldiers are some of the final members of the brigade to return home. They remained deployed longer to ensure the incoming brigade was ready to assume responsibility of areas within RC-East.
