Clarksville, TN – The weekly Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Report provides Clarksvillians with a glimpse at the activities and events that are available from the Parks and Recreation Department for them to enjoy together as a family.
This weeks highlights include: School is out, come play at Indoor Aquatic Center, Spring Break Tumbling Day Camp, Community clean-up at the Clarksville Greenway, Walk with Me Tennessee Session Two now Underway, and Come Splash Away the Winter Blues..
School is out, come play!
The City of Clarksville’s three community centers and the Indoor Aquatic Center will adjust their hours of operation March 24th-28th to accommodate students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and their spring break schedule.
The Kleeman, Crow and Burt-Cobb Centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm. Kids can have fun in the gym, racquetball court, game room, or computer lab, depending on which center they choose to visit.
The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, will be open from 6:30am-8:00pm. The inflatable obstacle course, “The Aqua Run Wibit,” and the “AquaClimb” climbing wall will be available. Wristbands are required for access to these features.
Cost of wristbands is $2.00 for all day access; except for on Wednesdays, when Wibit access is always free with paid admission.
Spring Break Tumbling Day Camp
From March 24th-27th, American Twisters Tumbling will be hosting a Spring Break Tumbling class. This four day camp will run from Monday through Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm. American Twisters Tumbling is located at 438 Kelly Lane.
This camp is open to youth and teens, ages 6-16. Cost is $40.00 per person. Register online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com .
Community clean-up at the Clarksville Greenway!
Anyone interested in participating in the Greenway clean-up should contact Melissa Adkins at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, or meet at the Clarksville Greenway on clean-up day. All clean-up equipment will be provided.

Walk with Me Tennessee Session Two now Underway!
Walk your way to health and prizes! The second session of Walk with Me Tennessee has begun and will end May 27th. This program challenges Clarksvillians to walk across the state using a series of challenges featuring trails in Clarksville.
Participating in this program is easy, just create a free account on www.healthwalkers.com and you are set to begin completing the challenges. The first participant to report completion of each challenge during the designated period will receive a Walk with Me Tennessee prize! For each challenge completed, the participants name will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize at the end of the session.
Come Splash Away the Winter Blues!
Beginning April 7th, new sessions of our swim lessons open up at the Indoor Aquatic Center, just in time for summer! Sign up online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com for any of our swim lessons.
Swim lessons offered include: Mommy/Daddy & Me, Preschool Programs, Level Programs, Adult Programs, and Adaptive Swim Lessons.
Descriptions of each class are available online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com. All of our swim lessons cost $15.00 for pool pass holders or $35.00 if you do not have a pool pass.
