Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team returns to the Ohio Valley Conference fray with contests at Belmont (10:00am, Saturday) and against Tennessee State (11:00am, Sunday) this weekend.

The lower end of Belmont’s lineup has been the most consistent for the Bruins in the early parts of 2014. Freshman Abbie Mather is 4-1 overall during dual season operating out of the No. 4 and 5 slots in the Bruin lineup.
The Tigers are still seeking their first win in 2014 and have been shutout in all but one match so far. Trinity Randolph’s No. 2 win at Graceland, March 15th, is TSU’s lone singles conquest so far.
Juniors Ornella Di Salvo and Vanessa Tavares are tied for the Austin Peay lead with five wins apiece; Tavares carries a two-match win streak into the weekend.
The Lady Govs continue a three-match homestand next weekend when they host Eastern Illinois (10:00am, March 29th) and SIU Edwardsville (1:00pm, March 30th).
