The new 1.2 acre pocket park replaces an old abandoned city alley not being utilized, and located on a historic railroad spur that encompasses a trail intersecting the City of Clarksville’s greenway system.

Rotary Park, a 111 acre park with 5 miles of walking, biking, and hiking trails, will have the addition of an ADA-accessible trail.

“Montgomery County has demonstrated outstanding innovation in parks and recreation for all of its citizens to enjoy,“ said Sam Edwards, Executive Director of the Greater Nashville Regional Council.

The GNRC is made up of the thirteen counties and fifty-two cities in the Nashville area. The Council provides planning and other assistance to member governments in economic development, transportation, solid waste, loans and grants for water and sewer systems, housing, small business loans, tourism promotion, air quality and services for senior citizens.
